But what if.... the price for her love is you life? Are you willing to pay for it? or give it up?
"Hah! hah! hah! I been walking for almost 3 hrs now... How long this route will go?"
Cardo felt hunger and thirst as the intense heat draining his energy.
"Hehehe.... That's it! faint! FAINT! FAINT HAHAHA....... "
But Cardo try to hold himself as he continue to walk.... but flesh are so weak to resist heat and hunger. As he crave to eat and to drink.
"When you feel hungry or thirsty, DON'T EAT and DRINK."
But his mind is still will to fight, as its shouts Lucy's name.
For how long your love can take the pain and suffering..... is it a martyrdom or foolishness?
"Oh Lucy...
My love...
I know this is foolishness of mine to love you....
Even if I die here, I will not stop loving you.... "
"Hmmmm.... this one is persistent! Well adventurer.... let see if you can escape my hunger.... "
His flesh telling him to quench his thirst and hunger.... but his mind is consistently motivating his heart to endure his suffering....
Now after a long period of time Cardo's suffering will finally come to an end......
Death? or Hope?.....
He sees a small oasis, and he smile to his relief....
But, on his left he saw a vicious and hungry predator coming to his direction as he feel danger. Cardo run for his life ...
"hehehe... that's it run.... run! run! hahaha.... Does your love will save you from death?
I don't think so... That's stupidity!!! hahaha!!!"
Cardo run for his life but the Oasis is still far to reach as his losing his breathe because of tiredness. He want to escape the beast and he knows the running is not enough to escape the danger his facing now.
"Oh damn! I lost my farm sword."
Cardo remembers he lost his farm sword during the harsh wind incident. Now how he will face the beast?
The beast if very confident that he will get his prey because he think its defenseless. And best of all he's bigger than his prey. So Cardo was no match for the beast.
"Hah! hah! hah!"
Exhaustion, this will be Cardo's end.
Does always the helpless lose at the end?..... Why is fate so harsh for the helpless?.... Why the worth of great love is so high to achieve and the difficulty is too much to bare?... Is it not right to love the one that you loved?.....
"Hah! hah! hah! I think, this is the end I fail.....
How stupid I am to dare the fate to fight my love to Lucy....
I really, really love her.... But I'm not worth for her love....."
Cardo is giving up, he knows that he is helpless at this stage. How he can win for the giant beast? This is too much for Cardo to handle.
"But I won't give myself easily to him, I would rather die fighting rather than die in doing nothing."
Cardo is decided to forfeit his attempt to wins Lucy's heart by obtaining the Crystal Rose. He finally realize that believing on the word of an old drunk man is a stupidity. Now he have to face his fate and that is to die in the mysterious mountain.
"Either way... my life is still worthless... without Lucy by my side, and the question is will she accept me when I tell my love for her? I'm still gambling.... "
"Now it doesn't matter what will happen to me, as long as my love for Lucy is in my heart...."
"Goodbye.... my love.... I wish you happiness...."
Cardo drop his belongings and pick the things that he think he need against the beast.
"Oh! a half piece of fruit berry... ow, I remember now this is the berry that the stranger told me to eat and I only eat half of it.
Sorry stranger I didn't follow your advice.... anyways I eat it for it will be my last...."
As Cardo eat the last of the berry he grab the thick wooden stick that he found out the thorn path, he grab his rope and the things he needed. Looks like Cardo have a plan, he will give the beast a good fight that he is worth for its prey.
Now Cardo is ready to face his adversary, or rather his death.
Now the beast jumps in the air to ravish his prey. Cardo was in his position to use his thick wooden staff but suddenly an idea came out in his mind.
He pick up his lantern and dive toward his left, away from the down coming beast. Cardo aiming for a right timing....
He throw his lantern to the beast before it falls down. It was a back dive while throwing the lantern.
It hits the beast face but it throw it away leaving something on its face and body.
It was a bad fall for Cardo but he manage get up quickly to plan the next move.
"Arrgh! that's it, I like that for a prey, struggle to fight before I endevour you... hehehe....
Do you think that piece of metal will affect me? It wasn't even tickles. hehehe... Roooaaarrrr!!!"
Cardo grin as his left hand reaching something inside his back pocket.
The beast is going to move again.
Cardo found what he's searching from his pocket. He remembered during the thorny path, he tie his lantern on the top of the wooden staff. The kerosene gas inside the lantern spill on the wooden staff. Which means, he can set the wooden staff on fire.
He pick up his portable lighter in his back pocket.
The beast move towards Cardo with a claw strike.
But Cardo was able to avoid the claw strike.
Every strike that the beast do, Cardo was able to avoid them.
"Arrgh! this is not fun anymore... you making me more hungry! Aarrrgh!"
The beast is now angry because he could hit Cardo with his claws.
Cardo light up the wooden staff, and position for the next attack by the beast.
The beast move again and this time its going bite Cardo. Cardo holding the thick wooden staff aiming the face of the beast.
When the beast going to a bite, Cardo thrust the burning wooden staff which the beast trying to avoid and bite Cardo.
"You're persistent adventurer but your stick won't kill me hehehe..."
Threatening words by the beast but Cardo did not listen.
Now the beast realize that Cardo never listen to his words, it angers him and this time it will try to remove the stick from Cardo.
The beast is on the move again and this time it will use its claws and mouth to attack Cardo.
"This is it, its no turning back.
This will be goodbye...."
Cardo try to stab the beast, but the beast was to smart.
So it bites the wooden staff, trying to throw it away by lifting it in the air.
But to its surprise, Cardo hold the wooden staff tight and lift in the air.
Cardo use the situation to go over the beast head and use his fortable lighter to burn the beast face.
"AAaaggggghhhh!!!!, My face!!! aaaaggghhh!!!"
Cardo fall to the other side, he run quickly to grab the broken wooden staff.
The flame spread to the beast head because of its fur.
Now Cardo use this chance to kill the beast by stabbing it through its heart.
He use the broke wooden staff, and this time it has a sharp end.
The beast is about to fall unto the ground.
Cardo knows that when the flame gone, the beast will kill him.
He runs fast to the falling beast as he tries to aim the heart.
When he found the spot, Cardo stuck the broken wooden stick on the ground and runaway.
"TSUG! AAAuuuggggghhh.... "
The beast fell into the broken wooden staff and struck its heart.
"H-how.... d-d-dare you... to kill me!!! Aaarrgghh!!"
Cardo stood up and watch the dying beast.
"H-how come... a mortal kill me!??" And died.
"Whew!.... that was tough. I didn't know that I'm able to survive this fight, hah! hah! hah!"
Because of exhaustion, Cardo faint blank out.
Cardo used his hunting skills which was thought by his grandfather.
And aside from that he has also thought how to fight and defend himself from the wild animals.
Now what will happen to Cardo?
Is it the end?...
Welcome
Hi! there, welcome to another part of my blog which is Fiction Writing. This is one of my hobby that I didn't give time before because I was so busy to stablish my life.
Now, this page contains my short fiction stories, poems and lyrics. All of them were originaly made by yours truly, although there might be some similarities to some stories that you already read, but all of them are coincidence or inspired of that story. I'll give credit to the original author and likely thank him/her on the stories.
Feel free to leave your comments, suggestions and claims if any but please use appropriate words. Thank you and enjoy your visit.
